Multi-foundry/Multi-manufacturing Partners

High Vol ManufacturingA key component to providing our customers reliable, volume silicon capabilities is our partnership with leading, world-class manufacturing companies.  For example, Accent has worked extensively with three of the top five foundries, as well as others, in the world.

According to IC Insights, the combined revenue of TSMC, SMIC, and Charter represented approximately $12,800 M in 2007, compared to TI’s IDM foundry revenue of $610 M, and over 50% of the $24,500 M foundry market in the same year.

Additional Details include:

TSMC

  • Key Customers: ATI, Altera, Broadcom, Conexant, LSI Logic, Marvell, NVIDIA, and VIA

SMIC

  • Key Customers: Texas Instruments, Broadcom, Infineon

Chartered

Program Management

Accent is a project-based organization that applies rigorous project management and risk management methodologies.

Dedicated Project Managers supervise project plan execution, identifying risk and accommodating customer change requests. They’re also trained by professional consultants and coached by senior management.

Our project management methodologies include:

  • Project Scope Definition
  • Change Management
  • Risks Assessment and Monitoring
  • Estimation Techniques and Planning

The project life-cycle is divided into three stages: ramp-up, execution and ramp-down.  During ramp-up, Accent defines the plan, staff the team and works with the customer to consolidate requirements.

Accent also performs a risk assessment analysis to identify all risks that may impact the project timeline and, in the end, its success. Accent works with its customers to define mitigation strategies and close this phase with a project kick-off meeting.  This is to review and agree to the Statement of Work, the project plan and the risk conditions.

During the execution phase, all changes and adjustments to the project plan are carefully analyzed and controlled.  Every attention is made to properly manage adjustments to the plan. Accent’s objective is to meet our customer's expectations while adhering to the project's financial targets.

Regular and effective communication with all project stakeholders, based on periodic reports and design reviews, ensures the project stays on track and customer's expectations are met.

All aspects of supply are also handled by Accent covering all logistic services such as delivery of tested ICs to our client’s customer.

During ramp-down, at the close of the project, Accent collects and records all experiences to improve internal processes and knowledge. As a result, Accent is always able to provide the best practice in every specific design field where its engineers operate.

Product Engineering

In addition to program management resources, Accent also deploys its production engineering team.

These resources tackle a number of activities necessary to bring design and IC prototypes to a level of production quality so that the IC can be manufactured in high volumes.

Typical activities include: packaging, testing, and qualification.
