The ASM231 is a single chip solution with unprecedented integration replacing as many as five ICs for unparalleled system capability across different smart meter configurations and significant cost reduction compared to alternative solutions. The device incorporates an AEMET2TM programmable metrology processor, providing leading-class energy measurement with seamless support for single, split and three-phase residential and C&I meter configurations. A powerful and memory-scalable ARM9 CPU processor enables advanced meter applications and communication processing. Battery-mode operation is supported by µA standby modes as well as a retention memory for quickest power-down with retained state information.
