INDUSTRY FIRST FSK AND OFDM SOLUTION SUPPORTING FUTURE 802.15.4G STANDARD
For meter-to-meter wireless mesh networking, dominant in North America, Accent offers the ASM211. The innovative device is the industry first transceiver to comply with the IEEE 802.15.4g standard supporting required FSK and OFDM high data rate options, for 800 kbps operation and a RX sensitivity of up to -112 dBm at 50 kbps.
The system-on-chip solution integrates Accent's programmable SUNFX™-4G modem and robust RF transceiver, ARM® Cortex™-M0 processor with on-chip Flash and SRAM, ROM, as well a number of communication interfaces. The ASM211's highly integrated RF transceiver reduces external part count by incorporating blocks such as a LNA, internal tuning capability, and channel filtering.
The innovative SUNFX-4G modem architecture utilizes software flexibility to track 802.15.4g until final standardization and hardware accelerators to reduce computational requirements, hence cost and power.
The modem utilizes only a portion of the extremely efficient Cortex M0 processor. The industry-standard ARM architecture simplifies and protects software investment.
To increase product robustness during potential field updates, the ASM211 includes a ROM, for kernel protection during firmware upgrades, in addition to the on-chip Flash and SRAM. The device provides a flexible PA interface required to easily support 30 dBm output power required by Smart Meter applications.
