Accent selects Giga Scale IC’s InCyte for early chip estimation
Giga Scale IC joins Accent's "Highway to Silicon" Alliance Programme
Cupertino, CA, USA and Milan, Italy – 4 May 2005. Accent Srl and Giga Scale Integration Corporation (Giga Scale IC) announced today that Accent has chosen Giga Scale IC’s InCyte software tool for its early silicon chip estimation and architectural exploration needs, and also that Giga Scale IC has joined Accent’s “Highway to Silicon” Alliance Programme.
InCyte allows users to estimate IC cost, yield, die size, power and leakage to within five to ten percent accuracy of final silicon, as well as to make architectural and economic comparisons and tradeoffs across various technology nodes, process variants and Intellectual Property (IP) options. The tool has proved effective at reducing total IC cost and minimising the duration of the design cycle.
“InCyte is alone among EDA tools in facilitating accurate chip estimation and cost-saving design exploration, said Claudio Fasce, VP of Business Area Electronics for Accent. “InCyte adds value that we can pass on to our customers as we realise the cost savings that accrue by analysing our design and IP choices early.”
“We are pleased that Accent, one of the world’s largest independent design service firms, has added InCyte to its toolbox. As a direct result of early chip estimation and design exploration, Accent can make better decisions that will ultimately benefit their customers,” added Adam Traidman, President of Giga Scale IC.
